  1. Hello family, you don’t pray enough, and I don’t pray enough. Why is that? We tend to pray when we want something, need something, or because we are feeling the unrelenting pressures of life. How about praying on the front end before your back is up against a wall. Prayer is a great comforter. You will feel the presence of God when you pray. Read 1 Thessalonians 5:17.

  2. What three things are you going to do in the New Year?

    Here’s my list:

    1) Pray more. We tend to pray when we are asking God to give us something, or when we are going through a difficult situation. How about praying a prayer of thanks to God first, before you ask Him for anything. “Lord, I thank you for waking me up, and allowing to breath Your air.”

    2) Give more. Have a Kingdom mindset. I’ll give God my Time, Talent, and Treasure. (Time) Read your bible first, before you look at your text messages, or your social media feed. (Talent) What gift/skillset has God given you that will make your family, friends, and that stranger on the street better? He gave you that talent so you could use it to help somebody be better. (Treasure) The shortest nerve in your body is the one that’s connected to your money/possessions. Make it a priority to give to God’s Kingdom through a local church, and to give to others who need the basics to survive. Food, clothing, and basic essentials. We take so much for granted. Have a heart for those in need; and God will replenish and increase what you have given to make His Kingdom greater. “And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least these my brothers, you did it to me. Matthew 25:40 (ESV)

    3) Serve more. Are you serving in your local church? God gave gifts, talent, and skills, to be used in His church. Jesus died to establish the local church. Whatever you do in a secular environment job wise, can be used as a service to others in your local church. You are more like Christ when you have a heart to serve others! “Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many, Matthew 20:28 (NIV)

I’m praying for great success for you, and your family/friends. Believe that, and receive that!
